Drawing Circular Arcs

This page demonstrates an intuitive, natural method for drawing circular arcs interactively. Basically, you first set the two endpoints of the arc, as if drawing a line. Then you can move the mouse around to control the radius of the arc.

Follow these three steps:

1. Click to set the first endpoint of the arc.
2. Move the mouse and click to set the second endpoint.
3. Move the mouse to adjust the shape of the arc, and click when it's correct.

Note that the blue guides show the original line and the center of the circle containing the arc.
